The surgery is always preceded by a detailed, painless examination. - Accurate measurement of diopter, cylinder, and corneal thickness.
- Tear film and pupil examination (with pupil dilation).
- Slit lamp examination of the anterior segment and fundus (pupil dilation with eye drops).
- Medical consultation: discussing results, answering questions.
Practical information:
- It is recommended to remove soft contact lenses 3 days before the examination, and hard lenses 3 weeks before.
- Blurred vision may occur for 2-3 hours due to pupil dilation; avoid driving during this period
- Bring your previous eye tests with you, if you have them.

Both treatments are performed with local anesthetic eye drops, completely painless. The patient is awake throughout the procedure and can go home with an escort after a short rest.

If laser monovision treatment is performed:
- We reshape the cornea with a laser: we adjust one eye to distance and the other to near.
- The actual laser time is only a few seconds.
- The treatment is quick, non-contact, and vision improves noticeably the next day.
If premium lens surgery is performed:

Please note this:
- Do not use makeup, perfume, or hair products containing alcohol for 3-4 days before surgery.
- We recommend that you avoid drinking alcohol 24 hours before and 48 hours after surgery.
- Bring quality sunglasses due to light sensitivity.
- Arrange for transportation home.
The recovery process depends on whether you have laser monovision or premium lens surgery. In both cases, recovery is quick and predictable, with most patients experiencing sharper vision the next day.

- Mild tearing, stinging, or sensitivity to light may occur for the first 24 to 72 hours.
- Rest with your eyes closed for 3–4 hours after surgery.
- Use the prescribed eye drops according to the protocol.

- Swimming/sauna: typically recommended after 4 weeks.
- Eye makeup: generally safe after 3 weeks.
After vision correction lens surgery:
- Temporary blurriness, light sensitivity, or tearing are normal in the first few days.
- Do not rub your eyes and avoid bending or lifting heavy objects.
- Hair washing and contact with water are recommended after approx. 1 week, eye makeup after approx. 5-6 weeks.
- Work: You can usually return to office work after 2–3 days.
- Driving: typically after the first check-up, with medical approval.
- Swimming/sauna: typically recommended after 5-6 weeks.

The reason for wearing reading glasses is the natural aging of the eye, the decrease in the elasticity of the lens (presbyopia). As a result, the eye is less and less able to focus up close. Modern ophthalmology offers two proven solutions to treat the problem.
Laser monovision correction
In monovision treatment, the two eyes are adjusted differently: one eye is corrected for distance and the other for near. The brain adapts in a short time, and both eyes together provide the full field of vision.

Why do I need reading glasses?

Is the procedure painful?

How long does recovery take?
After laser treatment, most patients return to their daily routine within 1–2 days. After lens surgery, vision is sharper the next day, and full stabilization takes a few days.
Can I really give up glasses?
Yes, most patients are completely glasses-free after treatment. However, reading glasses may be required over time to read very small print. This is due to the natural aging of the eye, not a defect in the surgery.
What side effects may occur?
Temporary sensitivity to light, tearing, or mild blurring may occur, but these will resolve within a few days. Serious complications are rare, thanks to the sterile operating room and modern technology.
When can I drive again?
Usually after the next day's check-up, with medical approval.
Does surgery also prevent cataracts?
Lens surgery does, as the natural lens is replaced with a new artificial lens, so cataracts cannot develop later. The laser solution does not provide protection against this.
Is there an option to pay in instalments?
